That We Might Have Hope "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope."  Romans 15:4 Psalms 119 says that "Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." It is the road map to heaven. Through His Word, we learn of a Father that loves us so much that he would sacrifice His Son for us. We learn of a Son that so adored His Father in heaven that he learned obedience, even to death on the cross. We learn of a Savior, whose love for all mankind held him on the cross. We learn of the glorious resurrection morn and the excitement of the early church. We learn that we can be part of that church and part of the bride of Christ! We learn that if we endure hardship and are developed by it, we will see God! Words of life! Words of hope! What security there is when we open the Word of God and hear His voice speaking to us! He calms our fears and gives us peace. He clears our heads and gives us a new perspective. He speaks to our hearts and gives us comfort. He convicts us of our sins and gives us cleansing and forgiveness. He takes our discouragement and exchanges it for hope. Prayer Father sometimes we feel so overwhelmed. But God, we know that we can trust you. As we walk through the fire, you will be with us. Thank you for leaving us examples to follow in the Word. Lord please help us to learn from these examples, that we can trust you and that everything is going to be alright. We thank you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
