Lesson #13
How do I put on the whole armor of God?
Paul describes this weaponry as
The whole armor of God,
Especially notice the praise of God.
This little phrase is taken from the
Greek phrase tou theo.
And is written in genitive case.
Simply put. This means the supernatural set
of weaponry is directly from God himself.
Thus this verse of scripture could be accurately translated Put on the whole armor that
comes from God.
Because the weaponry has its
origination in God, It is vital for us to remain in unbroken fellowship with the Lord,
in order for us to enjoy the benefits
of the spiritual armor.
By breaking fellowship with the Lord,
we step away from our all important power source.
But as long as our fellowship is in take with the Lord, then our power source is also intact.
People often wonder why when they walk away from fellowship with the Lord, why all hell breaks loose.
They often look for deep dark reasons for this trouble that has erupted in their lives, when the outbreak
for this confusion is simple.
Spiritual armor has its source in God, and when you temporarily cease to walk with God, you are choosing to temporarily step away from the source
where the armors power comes from.
What happens to your spiritual life when you temporarily cease to walk in fellowship with God?
In that state of being do you enjoy the
abundant life that you once did?
Of course not?
While abundant life still belongs to you, this stat of stagnation will pull the plug on abundant life,
so that you cannot enjoy it as you once did.
Why?
Because abundant life has its source in the Lord.
When you temporarily cease to walk in fellowship with the Lord, you are electing to temporarily
walk away from that flow of abundant life.
What happens in the believers life when
he or she develops that who cares attitude about
their spiritual life.
Does that believer continue to the
power of God in his or her life?
Certainly not.
I am not trying to be hard on you,
but I am trying to get you to see the
importance of unbroken fellowship.
We never want to lose our power source.
Lets look at Ephesians 6:11
11. Put on the whole armor of God,
that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil.
God has not provided us with
a partial set of armor,
He has provided a complete set off weaponry for us.
He has give us the whole armor of God.
God has given us everything
that we need to fight the enemy of our souls,
with nothing lacking.
Saints of God, we have been blessed by God,
because He trust us with His armor.
He is ready to train us for war.
Are you ready to learn how to use these awesome weapons that the Lord has provided?
Can the Lord trust you with
His precious armor?
Let's join together as the Lord's army and show
the devil who has the power.
With the power of God dwelling in us.
We can't help but win.
Pray this prayer with me:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you so much for giving us your armor.
Dear Jesus please teach us how to use each and every piece of your armor, so that we will be able to stand against, all of the tricks of the devil.
Lord we thank you for your mighty power that flows through these weapons.
Lord for too long satan has been fighting us, and knocking us down, but Lord with you as our commander, we are ready to fight with a
boldness that we never new existed.
Thank you so much for your armor.
